Dru-what? Drupal.

In the line of free systems that can mange your site, Drupal is a good one. Heck, the Whitehouse uses it.

It’s user friendly with loads of add on’s and plug-ins that you can use to have anyone set-up pages, or discussion forums and individual blogs for on-air talent or shows. You can integrate your content with twitter, or add in facebook connect. Just take a run through some of the modules, and you’ll see the possibilities.

A few years back I used it to run Evolution 107.9’s website. And with a few added on modules, it changed it from a static site to a jumping conduit of content.

According to a study of 2089 teens aged 13-19 across the US who own cell phones, Harris Interactive reports:

  • A majority (57%) of teens view their cell phone as the key to their social life.
  • Second only to clothing, teens say, a person’s cell phone tells the most about their social status or popularity, outranking jewelry, watches and shoes.
  • More than half of the respondents (52%) agree that the cell phone has become a new form of entertainment.
  • Teens carry cell phones to have access to friends, family and current events.
